A manufacturing  company from Kill, that uses modern techniques to design and craft lifestyle and corporate goods, is representing Kildare at the National Enterprise Awards.  Alan and Gary McCormack from CarveOn Ltd (www.carveon.com) won the top prize at the County Enterprise Awards competition this month.

The local company, which employs five people and was set-up in 2011, will now be going head-to-head with thirty other high achieving businesses, to win a share of the €20,000 national prize fund. 

The big announcement of the winner and presentation of prizes was made by Mayor of Kildare Brendan Weld at a ceremony in the Council Chamber on 21st March.

The other finalists who received certificates  on the day were: Terra Liquid Minerals, Tan Organic, Dunleavy Bespoke, Sweetspot Sourcing and Party Mad.

Kildare Local Enterprise Office is delighted to invite you to enter the 2016 National Enterprise Awards.

The competition is sponsored nationally by the network of Local Enterprise Offices and is the only national competition specifically for the micro-enterprise sector. It is hosted on an annual basis to acknowledge the achievements of small enterprise and their valuable contribution to the local economy.

The competition is open to Kildare Businesses who have received direct financial grant assistance or who have availed of soft supports such as training or mentoring from the Local Enterprise Office and currently have ten or less employees and not be beneficiaries of grant aid from other agencies. Companies that have received support by way of feasibility studies or R&D assistance from other agencies are not excluded.

The overall Kildare County winner will advance to the regional final (Midlands -  Kildare, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath ) from which 8 finalists will be chosen by an independent panel of adjudicators to go forward to the National Enterprise Awards Final which will take place on May 26th 2016.

Entries will be judged in accordance to marketing strengths, financial strength, innovation & technology, entrepreneurial skills and business plan – Please see attached the judging criteria.
